Unity Hospice is pleased to announce the addition of Scott Hensley to their team as Director of Strategy. Hensley brings over 35 years of medical industry experience, having most recently served as the National Vice President of Managed Care at Encompass Home Health and Hospice.
Hensley was drawn to Unity Hospice due to their dedication to providing hospice and palliative care to all individuals, regardless of their ability to pay. He was also impressed with the company’s commitment to fostering a positive work environment and valuing their employees.
As Director of Strategy, Hensley will work closely with the executive team to develop and implement strategies that will enable Unity Hospice to continue providing exceptional care while expanding the organization. Prior to joining Unity Hospice, Hensley worked as National Vice President of Managed Care for Encompass Home Health and Hospice. In that role, he focused on building and fostering Managed Care partnerships and relationships, integrating home health and hospice contracts from the latest corporate acquisitions, and identifying new revenue streams and opportunities.
Hensley’s extensive experience also includes serving as Regional Director of National Accounts – Managed Care for Kindred Healthcare and Gentiva Health Services, as well as Hospice Specialist for Odyssey Hospice and Chief Operations Officer and Partner for Texas Health Partners.
